I have finally moved into my new apartment in Oslo which is fantastic! I am still surrounded by boxed but most importantly I have fully unpacked and sorted my kitchen. Everything has fit in (just!) and I have so much more surface space than I had in my old kitchen. Tonight I cooked for the first time since being here, I just made wholewheat pasta with a tomato and oregano sauce with feta, sun dried tomatoes and lemon zest. As it is a very basic recipe I am not including it on here today but I will share a picture of it with you!
I love having all of my kitchenware back, this morning I made fresh apple, ginger and lemon juice to have with my breakfast with my new juicer. We bought the juicer about a week before we moved to Norway and really enjoyed trying different flavours. Our juicer is the JR-8000 slow juicer and it is fantastic! It gets so much of the juice out of fruit and vegetables and is incredibly easy to clean. I have found a great grocery shop in the Oslo food market so I will be going there this afternoon to buy more fruit and vegetables to juice. I am really enjoying living in Oslo, I will do a post about eating out in Norway soon!
This juice is quite basic but tastes delicious, I love putting ginger in juices as it is very refreshing and a great way to wake up in the morning. Some of these juices would also make great cocktails! Juicing is also good for using up fruit and vegetables, this also had quarter of a lime in it which was left over from having gin and tonic the previous evening!
