Home Cook Marmalade
This isn’t really recipe as such but rather something that I used for the first time this week. I thought I would feature it now due to Paddington Bear having been released in the UK cinemas (I have to wait until 16th January in Norway).
My mum used this when I was in my second year of university, so it must have been 6 years ago which is a terrifying thought! I thought I would buy a tin and bring it to Norway with me in order to make some cheap marmalade. It is fantastic, in 30 minutes you have marmalade ready to jar! I added some fresh ginger (about 2 inches finely chopped) to mine to make it a but different. It produces 6lbs of marmalade (6lb jars). There is a recipe on the back which tells you exactly what you need to do. The marmalade made to the recipe is on the perfect balance of bitter and sweet but if you prefer sweet marmalade I would recommend adding an additional 200g of sugar.
It would make great home-made gifts for friends and family (seeing as Christmas is scarily just round the corner!).
